Editor, writer, content strategist, word person
I've built a career at the intersection of journalism, health, and technology — helping companies and experts translate complex ideas into compelling stories.
My training is in health-and-science reporting, which taught me to fact-find diligently, ask meaningful questions, interrogate claims, and communicate nuance. This foundation carried over to my work at startups, where I’ve partnered closely with founders, clinicians, SMEs, product teams, and executives to develop content that engages readers, bolsters brand credibility, and supports business goals.
Starting with my work at Mic News in 2014, I've earned recognition for producing best-in-class brand journalism. This niche — distinct from both traditional news coverage and advertorial content — has become a specialty.
In my roles at Casper and Zocdoc, I created content programs from the ground up, connecting editorial strategy to acquisition, retention, and product education. As an editor at Andreessen Horowitz, I worked directly with founders and category-defining technologists on thought leadership. Through freelance and contract projects, I’ve provided editorial services to a range of clients, reinforcing my ability to become fluent in new subject matter quickly and shape messaging for different audiences.
I've covered a wide variety of topics, including: patient care, public health, neuroscience, sleep, exercise, psychology and mental health, animal behavior, health-tracking and the quantified self, consumer tech, women's health, cognitive bias, GLP-1s, the business of medicine, and the science of science.
The most prominent theme across my work is a focus on clarity and credibility: making the abstract concrete and the esoteric relatable, building trust through checked and contextualized facts, and creating content that serves a purpose.
